Hot Baby Shower Gifts!

Baby Showers are one event that keep on coming all year round. I am due to have my second baby at the end of October, so I'll be having a baby shower soon myself. I think everyone loves to shop for showers, but most of us go straight the baby clothing section. There are so many cute clothes- who wants to buy diapers and bum creams as a gift!?

As a new mom though, I remember being excited to purchase and pick out clothes for my own new baby. Letting everyone else choose my child's wardrobe for the first year of his life just wasn't so fun.
So I have a few new ideas for shower gifts that are sure to thrill the mom-to-be.
1. First- of course my highest recommendation is our Newborn Belt. We sell several different belts for baby boy's and girl's ages 0-6 mo. They sell for $15 and are sure to be a hit with the new mom and all of the guests. I give them out at showers and everyone always stops to hear about such a unique gift. Here are a few of my favorites!

2. Another adorable gift are these Interactive Felt Doughnuts from Emmy Cakes! These doughnuts are great for teething, plus one has a rattle and another has a crinkle texture inside. They are so cute and sure to be a hit at the party!

3. I LOVE these decorative wipes cases from Little Chic Boutique. They come in all sorts of cute patterns, colors and designs. They are one of the few ways I can think of to make diaper changing slightly more pleasant. Any new Mom will thrilled to add these to her diaper bag.

4. All natural teething toys from Little Sapling Toys are another great gift idea. This company sells blocks, teethers and toys made from organic wood that are safe and eco-friendly. I love the clean, classic look of all of their toys. Plus Mom's can feel 100% safe letting their babies chew on these teethers- no chemicals or plastics in sight.

5. This last gift idea is a little indulgent, but I just have to share. Zuzii is a company that sells the most adorable handmade sandals and boots for pre-walkers. I am in love with their boots and just know you will be too. These boots or sandals are perfect for the fashion forward Mommy that you know. Keep in mind, if these aren't exactly your taste, there are hundreds of other handmade baby shoe sellers on Etsy. Baby shoes are impossible for anyone to resist!

New Larger Toddler Belt Sizes!

I am excited to annouce that we now have a larger belt size availible in both the casual and dress buckle! The new buckle is about 1 1/4" wide and the leather straps that fit them will be 1" wide. Previously our widest belts were only 3/4" wide. Basically this means that we have buckles for larger toddlers now- up to the size of a 5 year old.

On the top left is our new 1" casual buckle; bottom left is our 3/4" casual buckle.

On the top right is our new 1" dress buckle; bottom right is our 3/4" dress buckle.

This is a line up of all of our casual buckle sizes.

Boston St. Boutique

Friday we went down to Pike's Place and officialy delivered our first load of belts to consign in Boston St. Children's boutique! We are very excited about this opportunity to get our belts in a store and exposed to more people. The owners were very helpful and excited for us as well. I wanted to get a picture of the belts and the stand in the boutique, but they had to price everything and find the right place for it. I will try to take a picture when we go down next week to check in. In place of that picture, here is one at home before we left of the belts on their stand. My brother Broch is a very talented welder who created this awesome belt rack for me. I'll update when we have some success at Boston St.

We have several small buckles for girls that are smaller and feminine. On babies these buckles are just the right size; on toddlers these belts look more like the trendy skinny belt. Currently these belts are availible in faux patent leather, glitter, faux crocodile, and leather.

This buckle may be my favorite so far. It is classy and sleek, perfect for special occasions. My little guy wears it to church every week, but its also perfect for holidays, parties, and weddings. I think you can also pull it off with a cute button up and jeans during the week.

Our Story

Shortly after our son was born, we dressed him in his first pair of newborn sized jeans. In his tiny onesie and stylish little jeans, he was adorable, but seemed to be missing one thing. "He needs a belt!" my husband exclaimed. It was true; his little waistband was empty and calling for a belt.

We made him one and no matter what else he is wearing, his one little belt is the first thing anyone comments on.We wanted to share our baby belts with our friends and other parents, and so ONE little BELT began.

I am a mom and a wife, a nutritionist and an artist. I enjoy taking care of my son, keeping a clean house, finding a great deal, creating things, and connecting with friends. I am the wife of a wonderful accountant husband who is my partner in everything, including this business. We have a seven month old son who is definitely the best part of life. If you can't tell, he's yelling, "I love my belt!"
